If you have an opportunity which you've just won, you may want to convert this opportunity into a job. This will keep all of the information from the opportunity (budgets/resource planning) and convert it from provisional bookings into actual bookings, which will appear on the job.

Converting an opportunity to a job ► [?]
To convert an opportunity in Metis, enter the opportunity in Edit mode, and change the Pipeline stage to Closed Won. If you're just starting out, see How to create an opportunity in Metis.
The advantage of this approach is that it carries over all information from the opportunity, such as job duration, revenue & costs, and team to the new job to speed setup.
You'll notice once you've changed the Pipeline status to Closed Won, the Save button at the bottom of the page changes into Convert to job.
Remember, when converting the opportunity into a job, this is the last chance you'll have to change the Job Type (Fixed Price or Time & Materials). Make sure you change the type BEFORE you change the stage to Closed Won. Once this has been accepted, you cannot edit it through the running of the job.
Converting an opportunity without creating a job
You may not want to create a job from the Opportunity you're marking as closed won, in which case Metis does support that. You can do this in a similar way to above.
Once you've changed the Pipeline status to Closed Won, the Save button at the bottom of the page changes into Convert to job. On the left of the Convert to job button, you'll see an option to close this opportunity without creating a job. Click this option to do so and voila! You're done.

Can I edit a Closed Won/Closed Lost opportunity?
Yes you can, however your changes won't affect the job that was created as a result of converting the opportunity (if you chose to create a job on conversion).
Be careful when updating any details of a Closed opportunity - this won't affect the details of the related job, and will change the value of your opportunity. This will impact your Dashboards forecast.
