The Metis Company Roles are standard levels which give access to Zones across Metis, A.K.A. your Permission. Everyone in your business has to be assigned a Company Role. These are set by individual, and can be changed at any time by your Metis Administrator.

Company Roles - Overview
There are five Company Roles in Metis, and therefore five levels of access:
- Level 1 - Director
- Level 2 - Manager
- Level 3 - Senior Consultant
- Level 4 - Consultant
- Level 5 - Associate
TIP - You can change the name of Company Roles to suit your business.
By assigning someone to a Company Role, you are automatically granting them the following access in Metis:

- Can View and Create |
- People levels 3, 4 & 5 can only navigate to Timesheets & Expenses, unless assigned an additional Metis role (see below). - Cannot also Create new Jobs, Opportunities, Clients & People. |

How do I change someone's Company Role?
A person's Company Role level can be changed by the following people:
- A Metis Admin - Through Zones > Manage > People and through editing the person's profile through Zones > People
- A Level 1 - Director or a Level 2 - Manager - Through Zones > People
- A Line Manager - through My Homepage > Person's Profile
Additional Roles - Overview
The permission level given to a Person also dictates what Additional Roles they can be allocated within Metis. Let's look deeper into who can be allocated which role:

Admins can navigate to all Zones of Metis, edit anything, create new Jobs, Opportunities and People. They can also edit Company Settings, approve all Timesheets and Expenses, and edit, delete and create any Timesheets & Expenses for other people in “ghost mode”. |

Job Leads can see job financials for their Jobs. They can also see hourly rates for all people / freelancers in the company through the Resource Plan. |

TIP - Be aware - By assigning someone as a Job Lead or an Opportunity Lead, they will have access to everyone's internal cost in the business through the Resource Plan.
How do I assign someone an Additional Role?
A person can be assigned an additional role as in the table above, in the following ways:
Making someone an Admin
- A Metis Admin - Through Zones > Manage > People and through editing the person's profile through Zones > People
- A Level 1 - Director or a Level 2 - Manager - Through Zones > People
- A Line Manager - through My Homepage > Person's Profile
Making someone a Job Lead
- A Metis Admin - Through Zones > Jobs > Details and Edit
- A Level 1 - Director or a Level 2 - Manager - Through Zones > Jobs > Details and Edit
Making someone an Opportunity Lead
- A Metis Admin - Through Zones > Opportunities > Details and Edit
- A Level 1 - Director or a Level 2 - Manager - Through Zones > Opportunities > Details and Edit
Making someone a Line Manager
- A Metis Admin - Through Zones > Manage > People and through editing the profile of the person who will be managed through Zones > People, and choose your intended Line Manager there

- A Line Manager - through My Homepage > Person's Profile
Making someone a Client Owner
- A Metis Admin - Through Zones > Jobs > Details and Edit
